Imagine going out to cut some flowers and the mouse jumping out at you...sure you'll laugh ..may take a few hours when you're retelling it to your hubby.
Remember the tale of my neighbor who while cleaning her cat's cat box had as mouse/cat deposit jump out at her. She just took the cat box to the dumpster and got rid of the contents all at once after that. Traumatized, she was.
Ratbag evidently eats the meat he kills or spares your feelings by not leaving bodies where you can find them.
Our indoor cats, when we had them, caught an escaped gerbil. It was laid out neatly arranged and freshly bathed with slicked into place fur. It could be they were trying to tell us that it was an accident and all efforts had been made at revival and when that failed the body was ready all tidied up for the funeral.
