“Look a craft fair, maybe we can find something to send to Mom for her birthday.”

Simon looked at Andy skeptically. “You know what she really wants is for you to settle down with someone nice and get married.”

“I’ve got you,” Andy stated baldly. “She wants grandkids too, and I’m not able give her those either. She likes crafty items.”

“There is a way to give her grandkids. Takes a bit of magic and they’ll be the size of earthworms at first…”

There was an enchanting crocheted peacock feather throw blanket at the first stall. Andy’s mother loved it.

LMAO get the feeling if it was a dirty rag she'd have been having it! *biggest grin*

And LOVE that throw. So easy but the effect is stunning. Not done any puffs for ages and got a few designs to go, finish that then think I'll try one of these :D

I still like the photo of the baby on the bottom right but it gives her the appearance of an exotic caterpillar. The peacock did it so much better.

I read somewhere, peacock feathers are supposed to be bad luck if brought indoors.

Ah.. QUICK ANSWER
The idea that peacock feathers are bad luck is traced to a superstition that began in the Mediterranean, where the eye-like markings on the end of peacock feathers are called the “evil eye.” The "evil eye" markings are said to be the ever-watchful eye of the female demon Lilith.

I thought they wore the 'evil eye' as a good-luck symbol to ward of bad omens. will have to google more.

Hmmm so maybe not make pretty blankie?

You could use different colors that weren't quite so peacocky maybe. That should confuse the 'evil eye'.

But then it wouldn't be Peacocky *pout* I thought eye symbols were lucky, warding off evil like the Turkish beads.

So make it peacocky and if anything bad happens give it to your lovely step-mother or maybe your old manager who threw the stink to get a higher management position.
