‘Warmth, flowers, and the buzzing of bees,’ Simon thought, ‘this is the life,’ stretching his body to full serpentine length and … the bottom part of his body fell between two legs. ‘Ah, this could be fun.’ He smiled and twitched his tail.

His reward was a sharply inhaled breath and a squirm of the naked body he was sunning himself upon.

“Something wrong, love?”

“No, no nothing at all except someone’s tail is playing where it shouldn’t unless it’s in human form.”

“Oh, I assure you, human form will come into it … later. First I want to play.”
