Interesting. I know about the plantar fascia ligament *groan* it can HURT! Suffered with it for a few months now.

Keep walking and it's fine. Sit for 1/2 have to use table/person to stand up and can't put weight on left foot :( means I'm limping badly until it wears off. And you get odd looks from people who see you running fine before and later on.

Do a lot of walking on hard floors and crouching to see tickets, neither good for it. And memory-foam soles are a stupid, stupid idea they're lovely at first but adapt to your foot - ie sinks where you put pressure and gives zero support there.

I have snowshoe feet. Got them from my father.
Short stubby toes, everybody else has fingers for toes, and wide short feet.
I was having trouble with forming calluses on the balls of my feet below my baby baby toes probably because I was doing the westerner version of chinese foot binding via shoe.
Got Crocs and now there is no problem.
