Date: 2016-03-03 11:01 pm (UTC)I didn't like the colors of the furniture, the burgundy and dark wood winged chair is more what I'd want... they make those in recliners don't they? I expect that period furnishings of that time wouldn't be all that comfortable by modern standards.

Date: 2016-03-03 11:11 pm (UTC)One of the owners is the president of the Van Wyck Brooks Historic District, the other is a lawyer. Imagine they do a lot of social entertaining. There's a third female lawyer friend who went in on the buying so definitely could see it a place they'd hold company parties. It's that kind of house.
I love certain aspects and would love to have a walk through but ... yeah, too posh for me.
