Some people have fish preserved and mount them on the wall. Some do it with Deer or Elk racks. This person found a way to either celebrate trimming the shrubbery or they went hunting dryads.

You could even leave on the acorns/nuts. Some trees have one gender .. like Holly or Mulberry trees.

If they'd been preserved better, they could keep their leaves/flowers. Glycerin, I believe, but I don't know how long said branch needs to be soaked.

Naw. If the dryad trophy looked better preserved then it'd look fake. *innocently walking away whistling while keeping an eye on you*

Probably for small branches like that, fresh and plunged into enough glycerin right away might do it. Think pussywillows.

Is it wrong of me to want to dangle ornaments of some sort, to be changed out per the season or month, off those trophy mounts.

Many of these trees were my friends. Creatures I had known from nut or acorn. They had voices of their own.

*Snickers* Oh Yes?
So did you haunt your friends waiting to catch up the trimmings, like tress from a hair cut? Do you then pet the trophy wall mounts and in sympathetic magic make them quiver in sexual wanting?

Some people collect notches on the bedpost but you take it a large step further. Now who are you going to choose to have come to your door in wanting tonight with intent of cumming amongst the sheets?

Nice try. The plunnies aren't biting because they are too shocked that a librarian didn't recognize a Tolkien reference. Though the consensus seems to be it's because you work with a lot of young ESO students who probably aren't at a reading level to enjoy Tolkien in English.

I've only read the first 2 of the Tolkien books. *self conscious smile* There are students who read Tolkien where I work. 2 schools in one building; English language speakers and then the other school which is across the board from beginning language to they've read Tolkien in Spanish.
I haven't read more than a couple in the series of the Potter books, Sparkly vampire books,CS Lewis books. Now Heinlein and Dragonriders of Pern, Norton, Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsha, Phyllis Whitney, Georgette Heyer; those I consumed to the very last one.

Nope, Ent. Big tree guy. I kinda cheated and stole the words from the movie since I didn't feel like leafing through 1500 pages to find the exact quote :)
