The stream burbled, the many air bubbles being dragged away under the ice, unable to escape. Around him the wind whispered through the white clad trees. Somewhere he’d lost his car.
“Persephone must have felt like this when she was dragged down to Hell,” Seth murmured quietly for there was a waiting, watching feeling to the landscape.
A voice answered him, “For years she bitched when she was forced to return.”
Turning Seth saw a handsome man as stark as their surroundings, “doesn’t she now?”
“Found a clause in the contract,” Aidoneus* shrugged, stealthily wrapping an arm around Seth. “Pomegranate?”
