The router is new and the passcode is a long list of numbers that is on the front. It is difficult to tap into it. Set up required a help from the service provider for their network to allow us to hook in and the equipment was sold just for this purpose from their local store.
I think this is the service provider (local phone company)'s issue since when we have problems there is a lot of static on the phone line or worse no dial tone. Sometimes we can reset this by calling in from a cell phone and sometimes we have to disconnect the router and let it sit for a bit.
They keep trying to get us to switch their cable services but if they can't handle the internet then how can they handle the cable television too. It is a bother but I like the way their email page is organized.
