The demon paused leaving his finger inside Matt where he lay bent over the ancient chart atop the table. “We are in the middle of a contract negotiation … and the map is not yours.”
“Ah, my associate is not empowered to enter into that contract to which you’re attempting to force him. He belongs to me. The chart is worth diddly squat after damage by current era fluids,” was stated.
“You lie!”
“You should’ve known,” Pict said gathering map and Matt. “Now begone Daemon. Uncle Luce is awaiting you.”
