Missouri Crossroads Quilt
60" X 72" 6 x 7 blocks

4 packs 5" squares (Oasis by Florian Finch) cut into 2 1/2" squares
2 1/2 yds. background fabric (includes inner border) 1 roll of 2 1/2" strips
2 yds outer border
4 yds. backing fabric

Cut 2 1/2" strips of background into 2 1/2" squares

4 patch square = 4 1/2" square
X block square -- cut down 5" to 4 1/2" square, sew 2 (drawn line diagonally) 2 1/2" background squares onto opposite corners of 4 1/2" square

Construct larger block with 2 squares of each.

align the x blocks so they form a line diagonally
align the 4 patch blocks so they form a line of the colored fabric that crosses the line of the x blocks.

Assemble the larger blocks: the x block portions come together and meet at their corners with the adjacent larger blocks forming chevrons an X where they meet.




inner border is 2 1/2" strip of background
outer border is 6" wide - 2 yds
