2 jelly rolls (2 1/2 inch strips of precut fabric). background solid & pattern colors
Don't know why she didn't use 4 half squares, one small color square,one larger white.
sew 2 half squares into a strip then sew to one side of large square.
sew 2 half squares with a color small square and sew this to the perpendicular side of the large square.
Even just sewing a half square each to two white strips to sew them to parallel to 2 half square + a small color square strip. would work. Less waste. Less steps.
