Oddly enough, though I set my cell phone alarm and the clock on the other side of the bedroom, I woke up before either went off. This after 2 months of going totally nocturnal. 'Course I did take naps in the middle of the day as prep for a couple days prior but still, am amazed.
Our tap water is from a nearby lake, suitably filtered, chlorinated, and whatever else they do. It's so nice to get tea flavored water from the faucet. *sighs*
It was supposed to be in the mid to high 90s temperatures today. Car thermometer said 105 at school. My neighborhood has a weather station at someone's house and it says 102.1 F (39 C for those of you Fahrenheit challenged). Outside was less thirst making than inside a/c building. So thirsty while inside my great big library room, trying to find all the items that were put away so no one would steal them. So what disappeared, hmm maybe the little kickstand. I kept forgetting to look for it. We used to have 2 but one 'went missing'. They went into our office and work room to vacuum and sweep. Always a bad thing when that happens.
We normally have 3 waste baskets in the library; at my desk, in the middle of the library, and close to the exit doors of the library. We generally use all 3 as the students will leave trash for us to pickup if there's not a waste basket handy. I bought one of those waste baskets with my own little money. We now have only one waste basket and mine is missing. Guess what will be hidden next summer vacation. Fries my cookies. Put out an announcement for people to look at their waste baskets because mine has numbers stencilled on the side. Am going to steal one of the trash cans from the hall if we don't get our waste baskets back. *GRRRRR*
