Someone was in the kitchen and Carl knew who. Smiling he entered, sliding his arms around Nathan’s waist.

“Honey, I’m home,” he sang whispered in Nathan’s ear before dropping a kiss behind it.

“I love you,” Nathan smiled. “You’re being distracting.”

Nathan turned attention back to continuing his search on the laptop.

“What are you doing?”

“Trying to find a recipe but first how to humanly kill it,” Nathan scowled and changed pages.

Quirking a nervous smile, “So you went to the market …”

“Yes. Don’t open the box.”

“What is for dinner?” Carl asked hesitantly eyeing said box.

“Octopus.”
