I found it real interesting that my local paper, that ran this article, and the Austin American-Statesman, where this article originated, could not find this article when I plugged in the first words of the article, which is how I normally find them if it's a few days later. Had to Goggle it and even then to find the original was not easy in its entirity.

My sister mentioned that one possible reason why Perry held off announcing his candidacy may be that he'd missed the cutoff and wouldn't be in the upcoming round of debates. He doesn't do well in debates.
He ducked on the debates during the last election for governor, saying that until his opponent revealed his tax statements, from further back than was required, that he wouldn't take part.
He does have nice hair.
