First week of back to work with more chaos then usual. It's early for a flash of administrative frustration inducement but one person managed it.
As I said elsewhere, I have been living on way too much coffee and too little sleep. (expect to see that phrase show up in some story of mine if and when)

One marvelous and wonderous teacher, meant in the most awed sincere way possible, has discovered that I don't have my degree. She cracked up that said degree would be a BS.

*soto voce* How could a teacher who is Dartmouth degreed and spends her time in the summer taking classes discussing classics like Bleak House not have heard of a Bachelor of Science? Actually it is refreshing because otherwise I'd expect her to have a concealed costume with cape and popping out of phone booths in appropriate for 'ignorance fighting' attire.

Tomorrow she intends to descend upon me where I can not hide. My Librarian has the key to the backroom so I can't hide there either. darn. If I don't have all my information for filling out a FAFSA with me, I think that will stymie things. I am too tired this week to start this, let alone find those things. I have bills to pay that mean we live from paycheck to paycheck. Need to call in a plumber. Need to take the vehicle to find out why the 'service engine soon' light comes on and a day later goes off again. Need to take the child to appointment tomorrow, which is why I've been putting in 9 hour work days for comp.time off.

Tomorrow said teacher will have use of the library for research all day. I am both horrified that she will have access to me for doing the back to college stuff, excited because her students will be researching Ancient Rome for composition of a work of research "Art" (she's English dept.) and disappointed that I won't be there the whole day to watch it unfold. The project will be long term research project. She has held a 'Fair' in previous years for a Living Museum Presentation. To associate with someone like this is inspiring.
*smiles* She owns one of those coffee mugs with the Cheshire Cat on it that disappears in reaction to the hot coffee within. She forgets where she has put things down. She subs for other teachers and gives cute little 'ohs' when she sees how organized they have their substitute materials all neat in a plastic covered shoebox. She is so human and yet so super human. If I were of correct gender orientation, I would be in serious trouble, more than I am now.
Have slept 6 hours. It is 2:30 am. Need to sleep some more. *yawns* 'Night.
