Circulation so far this year is at 2320; school only started the 24th of August.

169 check outs today with added research classes.

Special program Applied Learning classes:
Classes are doing set-up for their year round projects. They Are Clueless at this point. *pets the little 6th graders* They had a sub today. Had to explain that, 'yes, your teacher has not approved your topic yet but you can continue the research you've already started and find out if there is enough material there on your topic. Then if she does approve it you won't be 2 days behind everyone else.' They were just sitting there. *sigh*

*pets the clueless teachers of our New to the U.S. students*
Sent out 2 attached files in e-mail to teachers with a master for a poster of Database User Names/Passwords specific to our school that the district pays for and are available to use by anyone from our school. Sent out master with that information in format that allows for teachers to print out wallet sized cards of this information for the individual students to use from home.

Teachers in one of the two schools in our building that we serve are e-mailing me asking what the hell (said professionally of course) these are. *sighs* They've been to the Library to do research. Can only conclude that they've 'slept since then'.
Come on people.. Britannica, Culture-grams, Ebsco, Facts on File, and Gale resources. Britannica has multiple learning levels, try the elementary level for the 'just got here' groups. Remember we did this in the library.. just.. last.. year. You have the Promethean Boards in your classrooms (we in the library don't have this wonder of modern technology). You can show the students how to use this information on the BIG boards so much easier before you bring them down to us. You are supposed to be integrating technology into their lives as part of your classroom instruction. Their lack of English (new immigrants) is why they are in this school.. so **show** them.

Find your address and see how far you have to be able to run to survive depending on what the attack is done by. Support for International Peace Day. Wish it had been given to me earlier.
Really like the asteroid impact option. Takes all the guess work out of it, might as well stay where you are and enjoy the show while you last.
