The curve and lashes seem feminine but then the shoulders are quite broad and there's strength in the arm. Very androgynous.

I've had to stop and write in tatts, and the hair.

I have a pic for my androgynous Vampire story that's sitting on my hardrive glowering the mermen/genie fics. Only fair to share the pretties ;)

There's something about the proportions of the neck, facial features relative to the size of those earrings too. Lashes are exaggerated too much for female and the curve with all that muscle screams male trying to look female. The tatts fit in with this for they are very female in style. Of course this is a idealized djinn we are discussing.

Your pretty is almost the opposite of the djinn and is real. The muscle is pronounced but in select places as would a body builder. It's the face really that makes me think female. A male with muscles like that would have also thinned down his cheek bones yet these are soft and feminine. Pecs would have been revealed rather than hidden and the wrists are delicate. Or this could be a young male not yet at his full adult development. Very nice and real.

Both would be good as Alberto model. Each brings intriguing possibilities for the character. Are you sure Xavier only has ONE brother? How about a cousin? All these djinn in need of loving hooking up...

My pretty I'm using for a little Vamp. fic. I'm playing with. It's actually a he - my guess was female too, mainly from the clothing - A Japanesse singer G-Dragon apparently. Pretty though.

Are those tatts, though? It looks like henna, which is a traditional Middle Eastern body ornament technique, but it's more like makeup. I think it takes a while to wear off, but it's not permanent or even close.

Of course, since this is fantasy you could declare that your particular djinn does have tatts, using traditional henna-type patterns, and that would work.

The flower would be problematic within a Muslim context -- the only sources I've found that mentioned djann were post-Islam, so if you've got pre-Islam sources and feel like sharing, that'd be awesome -- but again, you could build a fantasy world where representational art was allowed.

Oh, and yeah, it's a gorgeous picture. :D

I thought that they looked like henna too but ink comes in many colors and this is suppose to be a djinn who can do pretty much as they like except get out of their bottle on their own. *smiles* They need rubbing of their..lamps bottles decanters.
