I'm going with the Sherlock Holmes story of "The Scarlet Band". Snakes drank milk. But one should also remember that Andy is very human and Newt will have some characteristics from him.
If Newt were in human form he'd nurse at this age. *nods head* It's either that and/or (cause it tickles me to have Andy doing this in the middle of the night) Andy will be out hunting crickets for Newt. Luckily Newt is small enough to put in a pocket with button down placket so he doesn't fall out.
