Stretching, with a toothy yawn Quincy lolled amidst the satin sheets. Ah this was the life. He liked being a kept familiar .. cat.. familiar cat. Not that his “owner” knew that was what he was, Quincy had been very careful to hide his nature and played up to his inner feline.
The lamp beside the bed fizzt and a small flame bloomed from the frayed electrical cord.
Quincy started up, fur fluffing and extending a paw extinguished the flame with a hiss.
“Aaah. Knew it,” his wizard said. “Now, just how powerful are you?”
Promptly sitting, Quincy groomed himself.
