You should hear what I am thinking when I go to the shelves and find that the books have been attacked by the hords. Some of the students who are new to our country, some who aren't so new too, leave the shelves with the books backwards, sideways, upside down, eaten by other books and falling on the floor. They aren't use to libraries and their teachers will send them at 6 to 8 students with 10 minutes to find a book and return to the class. Feeding frenzy occurs while I'm helping others check out.
Slugs. Makes me wonder what the rest of the items in the backpack looked like. Only the date due slip was crumpled and the holes were not poked but more like acid dissolved or in the case of the inside cover bored slightly. Slugs eat dead plant matter.. paper fits.
