I had to look up anatomy terms. *grins* Wikipedia is so helpful.

The string had been fitted into the nocks, pulled taut between his upper and lower limbs and his belly and his back felt the tension as his master chose where his aim would be. The pressure to perform well kept him drawn and rigidly waiting for his master’s intensions. Where would his master strike, which place would his master chose to impel his missile to pierce. Taking up a position his master arranged himself careful, the arrow carefully fitted just so for best effect, technique was everything in this business after all. Often and well the archer used his Beau.

*GRINS* Reading Wikipedia was ... interesting. The back; limbs, upper and lower; belly, were all labels used for the parts of the bow.
