Drabble Cascade #31- Independent : Hell (disturbing)

FB3X Drabble Cascade #31 - Independent

Drabble Cascade at FB3X - Every Tuesday

Title: Hell
Author: charisstoma
Word count: 100
Prompt: Independent
Do not ask, I don't know. When I was little and forced to take naps upon a neatly made bed of white sheets, these were the impressions my mind created. I was under five, before kindergarten age... and you didn't need to know all that.
I hated naps.

Silent screams were her nightmares as much as her waking thoughts, and threatening balled fists hovered somewhere close.

How soon before she lost her grasp on reality and reason becoming one of the mislaid, mentally careening over blinding planes? Why was she not already lost on that endless smooth vista; that which was her staring out, seeing one place and all places spreading out before her? The image, the perfect empty whiteness, wrinkled before her eyes and bile bubbled like scalding milk.

Madness, she’d indeed succumbed to madness and freedom of a sort. Smiling she whispered, “I’ll grow up.”

This story is like a surrealist painting, I thought the image was immediately clear, but then I read it again there's a lot of different ideas it conjures in my head - I like it, but yes, it is disturbing...

It is very disturbing and I have a great uneasiness when I'm ill and these images float up from memory.
You can't tell that I can be obsessively perfectionistic, now can you? It's probably a job requirement to have to work in a library.

That must be awful - we all have our personal fears, but to have one that comes back when you're sick... :(

Of course obsessive perfection is a job requirements for working in a library, otherwise we'd never have had the dewey decimal system :)
