Fall was a time of gathering chill, given to bright fires, hot drinks and comfort foods. The flames beckoned to him as well as the company that waited there. Fire was imprinted into the primitive brain as both safety and fear. This was contained fire, it promised.

He’d never really liked hot drinks, well except for one and moaned slightly thinking about it. Comfort foods though, there was really only one comfort food and it waited with the alluring fire.

It had taken him awhile to make his way, homing like a pigeon, driven by need, a place and people.




Now go back, re-read and switch the POV to zombie *runs away giggling*

Having just watched Warm Bodies, I can put the zombie goggles on and it's kinda tense reading it from that POV! Comfort food, eh!

You made it through Warm Bodies which is better than I did. I had to leave several times for long breaks because of the nausea it caused. They need to make theaters with the concessions in the center and the individual viewing theaters going out from that hub so there's a track oval to walk. It would have helped. Greatly.

Comfort food. Nothing like eating the ones you love... *heh* THAT could be taken two ways also.

Almost I wrote this, "He’d never really liked hot drinks, well except for one and moaned slightly thinking about Alex."
He so wants to get to Alex, to see him limed in the light of the fire and make love to him on the soft bed of the sweet earth in the flames flickering. *smiles*
