The cards had a slick silky feel to them as he dealt them out, a fresh deck for their rematch. Anticipation lent a frisson to the game. There were no real losers to their two handed contest.

He’d cut the clothes off Anthony’s tethered body, leaving tatters at wrists and below the knees to frame the masterpiece between. Deep red marks would be suckled up, claiming this man as surely as the scent of the dried pearl necklace at his throat.

“You’re not really focusing, Love,” Anthony interrupted, smiling decorously. “We’ll have to work on that ... if I win.”
