Rotating supercell and rain wrapped tornado

Welcome to local weather and not so local weather, like much of the midwest and points moving east lately.
Beautiful isn't it. It's gone around us... mostly. And we've not done the bad weather preparedness drills we were told would practice. Maybe because we don't want to scare the students because the weather has been that way lately. What does a plain blue sky look like with fluffy white clouds again?

I would have nightmares if I saw this in my sky. NIGHTMARES. That movie Twister scarred me for life.

Yes, though I've not watched the movie. One of the kids at school did the Mooooooo and whirling motion with his finger. Poor soon to be dead cow.

i love supercells, probably because we don't get them out here so i've never had to hide from one. they're so beautiful and so terrifying.

Yes, beautiful and terrifying. It's the same with letting the tub empty and the whirlpool that forms in the drain, a marvel but on a larger scale the fear comes in. It's all perspective and size relative.
