Quilt Bento Box

2" wide strips ; 30 light colors, 30 dark colors

Lay one dark and one light strip atop each other. Square up the end. This gives you pairs up strips.

Block Piece
C - cut 6 1/2" strip - 1 set of pairs
B - cut 4 1/2" strip - 2 sets of pairs
A - cut 2 1/2" strip - 2 sets of pairs

Bento 1/4 block
Make 2 of these:
Sew a dark and light A set together
Sew a light B to the A set
Sew a dark B to the A + B set
Sew a dark C to the A + B + B sets

Sew the reverse colors mirror image
Make 2 of these:
Sew a light and dark A set together
Sew a dark B to the A set
Sew a light B to the A + B set
Sew a light C to the A + B + B sets

Sew the 4 --1/4 blocks together like this:

There should be 30 total Bento Blocks done in 6 rows.

I thought this one might be cool until I saw the finished quilt hanging behind the ladies in the video. I really don't like the optical illusion type feeling you get from the finished quilt. Though maybe it would be slightly less with less colours?

I look at it and think "not bad" until I look at it for longer than a second and I get a "nope" feeling from it. I'd hate to be really tired and staring blankly at it, I'd probably end up hypnotizing myself from it.

I'd like to see it in whites, greys, and black or navy.
This comes off as drab and rather busy.
