Thick cream vellum envelope sat in his hand. He knew what was in it, she’d asked him if he’d give her away and it was sadly ironic. Jack had still been in his bed the morning she’d cornered him in the coffee shop flavored with the rich smell of fresh brew.

There’d been no way to tell her no, that there was no way he’d hand her his lover but Jack hadn’t answered the phone when he’d called to demand answers.

He opened the seal and read Jack’s hand lettered, “To have and be shared from this day and forward.”

complicated! sounds like Jack needed to have timed his proposals better. also, explaining himself more clearly would make for a better long term relationship, especially in a three. jack needs to do some making up, pronto!
