Thick cream vellum envelope sat in his hand. He knew what was in it, she’d asked him if he’d give her away and it was sadly ironic. Jack had still been in his bed the morning she’d cornered him in the coffee shop flavored with the rich smell of fresh brew.

There’d been no way to tell her no, that there was no way he’d hand her his lover but Jack hadn’t answered the phone when he’d called to demand answers.

He opened the seal and read Jack’s hand lettered, “To have and be shared from this day and forward.”

I think these three need to do some actual talking if this new turn in their relationship(s) is going to work. You should really tell the guy you're sleeping with that you asked the girl you're dating to marry you. It's only good manners. Can't tell from this brief bit if she knew all about POV. Maybe the reason she asked for this from him, to add him to the ceremony.
