So we had weather last night

Last evening we lost power for an hour. Of course some caller who I don't know drained my cell phone battery.

After the wind and the fast moving rain the sunlight was a golden glow that lit up everything against the dark sky to our east. No I have no pictures of that. One of my friends posted the photo I put here.
This is almost as good, posted by another friend.

I have no talent. Luckily the people around me do.

Yes, wondrous clouds and we aren't thinking about the why they look like that.some things are better not thought on even if we know.

Pretty clouds, it's like they're breaking away from the dark thundery mass, determined to be fluffy.

Very pretty. The fluffy is because the winds are so high or they'd be neat little teacup bottoms that turn into descending funnels.

I'm getting tired of reports of the size of the hail inside clouds like this. 2+" sounds really interesting and they are fun to watch bouncing across grass like tennis balls. Not so much when you are outside without shelter (that happened at a fair a few years ago), or you have to pay for a new roof because your roof has been pummelled by hard large chunks of ice.

We never get hail that big here, it's been bigger the last few years but rarely any risk of noticeable damage.

Recently it was so bad it destroyed windows.
