Accidentally caught a supernova in M82 and didn't realize it until the announcement came out. Went back to check, and sure enough. Exposure: 1 minute per image ISO 800 Stack of 15 images.

Okay there was a really neat close up photo of a mother wolf spider with all her little babies catching a ride on the mommy express. She carries them until they're too big to all fit on her and even shares her food with them. I love you all and so did NOT post that photo. Instead you get a supernova. Aren't you pleased?

personally i would much rather have supernovas than wolf spiders. well, i'd rather see most things instead of wolf spiders. and supernovas are cool! especially when photographers take pictures of them without realizing it. neat!
