Whether it was constitutional for Trump to carry out these airstrikes in Syria without congressional approval is not an easy question to answer — especially because the Trump administration has not yet made public its own legal justification. We asked the Trump administration, and we’ll update this post if we hear back.

The resolution required that, in the absence of a war declaration, the president must report to Congress within 48 hours of introducing armed forces into hostilities and must remove forces within 60 days unless Congress permits otherwise.

As of this writing, Trump is still within the 48-hour window to notify Congress and seek their approval.

This dish is a delicious, hearty and easy way to enjoy beef roast. No hot oven on this summer! I have made this many times, and it’s one of my favorites… Set it and forget it.

Ingredients

1 beef roast, any cut, to fit size of crock pot.
1 pkg. hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 pkg. McCormick brown gravy mix
1 pkg. Italian dressing mix
1 Cup water (red wine?)
small red potatoes, scrubbed and quartered. (optional)
1 Cup celery , chopped (optional)
1 pkg baby carrots (optional)
onions?, chopped
green pepper?, chopped

Instructions

Combine mixes well and sprinkle over roast in pot. Pour water into bottom of pot. Cook on low for 6-7 hours.

During the last 3 hours, add potatoes and carrots.
